Parada Mexicana!....Mexican Parade!

RCC fue la unica iglesia Cristiana defilando en la parada Mexicana de la ciudad de Waukegan. Los danzores de la iglesia bailaban al son de la musica tradicional de Mexico. RCC dijo presente en la parada para ministrar a todos los alli presentes. Llevando la buena noticia del amor de Dios!

RCC was the only Christian church marching in the Mexican parade in the city of Waukegan. Some were on two different trucks, and others walked while our dancers danced to traditional Mexican music. RCC was present at the parade to minister to all those present. Spreading the good news of God's love!

Drama...Sketch

 El día 5 de Septiembre, el grupo de jóvenes presento un drama que habian estado practicando un par de semanas. Fue actuado mientras la canción "En El Nombre de Jesus" por Miguel Cassina entonaba. El drama era de la batalla entre el bien y el mal y nos ensena que con la ayuda de Jesus podemos derrotar al enemigo!

Los demonios de Satanas trataban de tumbar a la muchacha, dandole, pero ella clama a Jesus y el viene a su rescate. Ella entonces empieza a darles a los demonios y a derrotarlos en el nombre de Jesus! La canción tambien nos dice que Satanas trata de usar las tentaciones para derrotarnos pero Jesus nos dara una salida con poder y autoridad!

On Sunday September 5, the youth group acted out a sketch that they'd been working on for a couple weeks, it was acted out as the song "En El Nombre de Jesus" by Miguel Cassina played. The sketch was about the battle between good and evil and how with the help of Jesus Christ we can and will defeat the enemy. 

Satan's demons tried to bring the girl down by hitting her but she calls to Jesus and He comes to her rescue. She then begins to hit the demons and defeat them  in the name of Jesus! The song also talks about how Satan tries to use temptations to bring us down but Jesus will give us the way out with power and authority! 

Domingos Especiales!...Special Sundays!

RCC ha tenido algunos servicios especiales como el día del Deporte donde todos vineron vestidos con la camisa de su eqiupo favorito, día del Vaquero y día Hawaiano. A nuestros Pastores les encanta divertirse y ir todos vestidos como vaqueros o Hawaianos dio para mucha risa y buenos momentos. El día Hawaiano se celebro al aire libre en un día de verano caluroso.

RCC has held a few special services such as Sports Day when everyone came dressed in their favorite teams jersey; Cowboy Day and Hawaiian Day. Our Pastors love to have fun and dressing as cowboys or Hawaiians makes for a few laughs and good times. Our Hawaiian day service had the perfect setting, it was held outdoors on a beautiful summer morning! 

Visita de un Hermano Africano....Visit from our African Brother

Visita del Pastor Africano Mathias Lukwago. Un poderoso servicio! Este servicio fue conmovedor de tantas maneras, unos lloraron, otros rieron, pero más que nada todos alabamos a Dios y oramos por cada unos alli presente. Very powerful service! This service was moving in so many ways, many cried, others laughed, but most of all we worshiped God and prayed for one another. Agua Gratis!!....Free Water!!

El sábado 24 de Julio nuestra iglesia repartió agua gratis a todos los que conducían o caminaban por la Greenbay Road y Grand en Waukegan. Este día marco la segunda vez que la iglesia RCC reparte agua gratis. La primera vez se repartieron aproximadamente 1,300 botellas de agua, la segunda vez más de 2,920 personas recibieron agua fría en ese día de verano tan caliente.

Ver las expresiones faciales de las personas fue inolvidable. Ellos nos preguntaban, "Porque estan dando agua gratis?!” Nosotros le contestábamos, "Porque Jesus te ama". Una verdad que al parecer satisfacio a muchos. Algunos querían pagarnos, pero no aceptamos ni un centavo, nuestra meta era decirle a las personas que Jesus los amaba, sus expresiones y "gracias" fueron recompensa suficiente.

On Saturday, July 24th, our church gave free water to the citizens of Waukegan that drove or walked by Greenbay Road and Grand. This was the second time this past summer that RCC of Lake County had done this. The first time about 1,300 free water bottles were given away, the second time around about 2,920 people received a nice cold bottle of water on that very hot summer day.

The expression on most people's faces was priceless. They asked us why we were giving away free water, our response; "Because Jesus loves you". A truth that seemed to satisfy many. Some wanted to give us money, we took none of it, our goal was to tell people that Jesus loved them, the facial expressions and "thank you's" were all the payment we needed.
